You can’t admit something that never happened
In its press release issued today, the State Audit Office of Hungary claims that Jobbik’s president Tamás Sneider admitted in an interview that Jobbik had accepted illegal funds. Mr Sneider never made such a statement and Jobbik turned to the Strasbourg-based European Court of Human Rights for legal remedy because there is no way to do so in Hungary. Jobbik maintains that the extent of the fine imposed by the Audit Office on the largest opposition party was completely unlawful and unjustified.
