Jobbik remembers the Hungarian victims of the Holocaust

In collaboration with the Nazi occupying forces, the authoritarian Hungarian authorities, driven by hatemongering politics, began to round up our remaining Jewish compatriots in ghettos in the Transcarpathian region on this day in 1944, after they were deprived of their livelihood and already decimated by labour service. The inhabitants of these collective camps, including thousands of families, innocent women and children were then squeezed in cattle wagons and sent to the living hell, the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp. Incomprehensibly for the human mind and heart, this unimaginable cruelty of the Shoah began on 16 April in Hungary. Today, we remember the Hungarian victims of the Holocaust, being aware that nothing can ever relieve the pain of the families whose loved ones were murdered.
