Jobbik plans Oct 23 rally for people “cheated” by successive governments.
The radical nationalist Jobbik is organising a rally for the national holiday of October 23 for everyone who feels they have been “cheated and humiliated” by the governments of the past 24 years, party leader Gabor Vona said on Wednesday.
Vona told the press that the event dubbed “rally for people damaged by governments” will welcome not only Jobbik supporters but everyone fed up with the Fidesz and Socialist governments. Jobbik wants to offer an alternative to these people, and will represent them in the months ahead, he added.
The second Orban government since 2010 has failed to fulfil its promises of improving public safety, creating jobs and resolving the problems of people who borrowed in foreign currency, Vona said. Instead of healing the wounds of the previous eight years, Fidesz created new ones, he added.
He cited the tobacconist tenders, “wasted billions” on attempts made in vain to reduce public debt, the flat income tax as well as the e-toll system and online cash registers as examples.
