Jobbik picks SAO report apart
Gábor Vona has already signed and submitted Jobbik’s comments on the Audit Office’s fine of HUF 662 million, the party’s president announced in Hír TV’s morning show. He added that the document “picks apart” the SAO’s draft resolution. Describing Jobbik’s report, the president said it contained over thirty pages including the attachments, so it was actually longer than the draft resolution issued by the SAO.
“We basically pick the Office’s document apart from three aspects: firstly for its unlawfulness, secondly for its unprofessionalism and thirdly for its falsehood,” he asserted. Although he is curious what the authority may answer to Jobbik’s comments, Mr Vona said “the State Audit Office’s draft resolution has been widely ridiculed by the legal community”.
As it was reported earlier, Jobbik was given fifteen days to respond to the HUF 662-million fine imposed in a draft resolution issued by the SAO, an institution headed by former Fidesz lawmaker László Domokos. The party claims the draft resolution is completely baseless and the SAO even denied Jobbik a fair procedure as the online data uploading function was blocked three days before the deadline and the authority then refused to accept the documents on paper, too.
