Jobbik hands in recommendation notes first

jobbik1As it was anticipated, Jobbik is a subject of a harsh, co-ordinated and slandering campaign in the run-up to the EP election on the 7th June 2009. Despite this, the Jobbik party was the first party to submit the "recommendation notes" to the National Electorate that is required by law to participate in the EP elections.

20,000 notes had to be submitted but support and popularity quite literally shocked everyone even at top level in the party - in a couple of weeks we received more than 100,000 notes. Not only so called "extremists", but top-ranked officials, Jewish and a number of Roma citizens decided to give their notes and support to

Jobbik.

Left-centre party Fidesz have started their EP campaign as well. Fidesz politicians repeatedly called Jobbik a creation of the Socialists while on the other side MSZP (Socialists) called Jobbik the "extremist" side of Fidesz.

Jobbik can only hope we will be the laughing party in the middle when it comes down to votes. Opinion polls in recent months consistently put Jobbik to or above 5% - the threshold of getting in EP / Parliament.
