Jobbik will get in Parliament - Opinion Polls
Recent opinion polls and surveys show around 5% support for Jobbik, The Movement For a Better Hungary that would get the conservative, patriotic Hungarian Party in the Parliament. Surveys provided by Marketing Centrum, Tarki and Szonda-Ipsos have noted increasing support for Jobbik month by month.
Left-centre party Fidesz, now in opposition, would harvest more than 50% of the votes if early general elections were held. The ruling Socialist Party would only get 25% of the votes and analysts warn that the collapse of the Socialist Party may be inevitable. Unpopular, former
PM Gyurcsany resigned last week but his newly named successor, Bajnai is under enermous pressure from both sides. Gordon Bajnai is widely considered to be Gyurcsany's "clone" as his close friend, and is facing allegations of dodgy financial transactions in the "grey-area" a few years ago when his company filed for bankruptcy, leaving shareholders in financial turmoil with 9 suicides as a result of the company's disaster.
