Gabor Vona, President of Jobbik, The Movement For A Better Hungary announced yesterday that Dr Krisztina Morvai will be nominated first as EU-parliament candidate for next year's EU elections. Below the statement from Gabor Vona:

I think that today we had a day of historic importance, when the national party takes a step of many miles on the way, where the Hungarian people can take their fate into their own hands eventually. We invited criminal lawyer Dr. MORVAI Krisztina to stand at the lead of the party list, and take the national thought into the European Parliament. As the answer was positive, so we have an opportunity as from tomorrow to visit the county seats during our country tour with an eye to this noble cause. In the course of the lectures and in our whole campaign in the EU elections the service of the interests of the Hungarian people and the demand for a human centred public life will provide the fundament of our visions.

We would like to tell our own thoughts, and get familiarised with the experiences of the people, also to collect their questions, so that we can produce a Union platform right in this year, which would be suitable for the representation of our values and interests, and which would cut a path in the forest of lies related to the EU.

I hold it important to point out that as from this day I expect not only the beginning of the road leading to our success in the Union, but also the starting point of the cleaning process of the public life in our homeland. MORVAI Krisztina and the representatives of the Jobbik Party can only represent our homeland effectively and genuinely, if they have a strong and stabile hinterland behind their back. Our country tour and the era lying before us are not only about the EU, but first and foremost about Hungary, and the Hungarian people. It is our objective, which is not to be hidden; to overwrite the fake lines existing in the domestic politics. The presently existing right-wing-left wing boundary is namely fake and so it cannot really address the genuine problems of our present and our future, either. It is time for everybody at last, to come to the sun, in order to see who stands on which side of the real barricade, on the globalist side or where the national forces stand. We showed our face, and we will force everybody to do the same!

The issue of the EU counts as a taboo in the media, exclusively good and nice has been heard about it, so it is no wonder that in the head of the people, who do not experience all these beauties in their life, there is a confusion emerging. In spite of the unilateral information, however there are more and more people, who do recognise the fact, that the EU is not a charity organisation, as it had been characterised by the domestic political elite in 2003, but an organisation which is struggling hard in the great and brutal competition of globalism, for which Eastern Europe means just a market and labour force colony. It is an unfortunate phenomenon that the plan of Brussels of such intention has been implemented at the greatest extent right in Hungary!

Hungary had become the saddest barrack of the Union in 2004. The primary responsibility for this is not with Brussels, because it only enforced its interests from its own aspect. The Hungarian politics has to bear the primary responsibility, which embraces the whole Parliament, which first of all gave disinformation to the people, and having so misguided them, and holding them in false optimism dragged Hungary into the EU! Once entering there they behaved as the softest Member State resigning of the role of the hard representation of interests, which is actively exercised by the rest of the nations! One explicite example for this was the unanimous and sickly eminent voting last December in connection with the Treaty of Lisbon. We feel necessary therefore that an in-depth and thorough analysis should be made, a report of the a real balance of the Accession of Hungary to the EU, and the result of this - which will surely be negative!- should be revealed to the whole Hungarian society!

In the person of MORVAI Krisztina, we have found someone, who is the most eligible person to represent Hungary not only as a signatory State, but with whom they have to count as a hard negotiating party. We have to call a halt to the tradition of servility of many decades in the Hungarian diplomacy. We need a real representative of interests, a civil right fighter, a warrior type, because those who apologise for taking a breath of air, will be deprived even from the air in the long run! MORVAI Krisztina has wide and valuable international experiences, her activities regarding 2006 October have an international recognition, she is one, if not the most popular public figure in the civil sphere in Hungary. She had been working as an expert in the United Nations, and spent a year in Strasbourg as the lawyer of the European Human Rights Committee. She received her scientific degrees in England, and taught as guest professor in the United States. She works as a University assistant professor, and is a mother of three children. There is no need to give more evidence for her eligibility.

The Jobbik Party is convinced that with the lead of MORVAI Krisztina they can delegate such representatives to the European Parliament, who can provide a strong Hungarian presence, and that with this a new era, we can open a brighter future for our Homeland in the European Union.
