Jobbik.com was launched in 2006, when demonstrations were taking place in Budapest against the Socialist - Liberal government. The demonstrations in 2006 began after PM Gyurcsany had admitted lying to the Hungarian people in a leaked tape. The demonstrations were brutally dispersed by police forces leaving hundreds of people injured, some blinded by illegally used rubber bullets. People were beaten and tortured while arrested by police thugs. Jobbik.com was brought alive to let the widest public (abroad) know about these events in Hungary, as official Hungarian government channels were using old time communist tactics and lied "in the morning, in the evening and at night". Due to increasing demand and interest in Jobbik and the newly formed Hungarian Guard, jobbik.com became a newsportal for those who would want to know about Hungarian events - without the lies.
